BinFit
Editorial Policy
This policy explains how BinFit researches products, handles uncertainty and keeps commercial relationships separate from fit results.
Research standard
Critical dimensions should come from a named manufacturer document or a current UK retailer specification. Where possible, important fields are checked against a second source. Every product profile identifies its source and the date on which the record was reviewed.
Facts, interpretation and missing data
Published measurements are recorded as facts attributed to their source. Normalised labels and dimensional comparisons are editorial processing. A field that cannot be substantiated is shown as not published, not confirmed or requiring a manual check; it is not silently treated as compatible.
Fit Finder rules
The finder compares known external and internal measurements, bin count and recorded opening information with the answers supplied by the user. A product that fails a known requirement is excluded. A product with missing critical opening or internal-layout data may appear only with a clear manual-check warning.
Prices and availability
Prices and stock can change after a record is checked. BinFit states the check date and sends the reader to the retailer to confirm the current price, delivery area, returns policy and availability.
Commercial independence
Commission rate, retailer relationship and commercial value are not fit criteria. Affiliate products do not receive a positive fit result unless they pass the same published rules as products without a commercial link.
Images
Dimension illustrations created by BinFit are labelled as illustrations and are not presented as product photographs. Retailer or manufacturer assets will be used only where permission or programme terms allow it and will not be altered in a misleading way.
Corrections
Credible corrections are checked against a primary source before a record is changed. Material corrections should update the product’s check date. Requests can be sent through the Contact page.
